Based in Lancashire, Northern Joinery Ltd is a privately owned company specialising in the design and manufacture of quality timber staircases. Over the years they have invested heavily in state of the art, precision machinery dedicated to the machining of quality staircase components.
Maintaining this leading edge can have an effect on energy and utility bills. Northern Joinery were ready to commit to a 3 year contract for their gas and electricity when Brownlow Utilities contacted them about water services.
Following a review of the imminent contract, Brownlow Utilities identified the significant amount of commission that was ‘hidden’ in the contract. The Brownlow Utilities team helped Northern Joinery to break the contract shortly after it started and re-negotiate a new contract resulting in significant savings;
- Water – £21,000 (62%) over 5 years
- Gas – £17,000 (32%) over 3 years
- Electricity – £27,000 (14%) over 3 years
Angela Broadbent, Sales Director and Owner, was overwhelmed with the results "We initially responded to a call from Brownlow Utilities regarding the water services they could offer us. Fortunately, Stephen’s extensive knowledge of gas and electricity procurement meant that he could quickly analyse our current billing structure. We immediately cut our utility costs for water, gas and electricity and we will realise the savings going forward."
