A large, multi-site meat processing company based in the UK were delighted when Brownlow Utilities yielded a saving of £39,600 following a review of their CCA submission figures.

The company had been reporting the figures for energy and production at each of their sites in the UK and were unfortunately failing their CCA targets. Brownlow Utilities were given the opportunity to conduct a CCA audit to determine if there were any errors in reporting. As a result, we visited a number of our client’s sites and carried out detailed reviews of the evidence pack against the figures submitted.

Several errors were found, and when the new figures were submitted, our client discovered that they were in fact beating the SEC target! As a result, the client saved £39,600.

The audit not only yielded the correct production and energy figures but also identified some billing errors. This has triggered a bill validation exercise which is ongoing and continues to generate tens of thousand pounds of savings and more accurate billing for our client.
