A Truck Load of Benefits for TIP Group

TIP Group is a leading full-service equipment solution provider, specialising in truck and trailer leasing, rental, maintenance, and repair. The TIP Group offers a highly customisable approach, delivering flexible leasing and rental options, digital solutions, sustainable initiatives, and second-hand equipment.

Challenge

As TIP Group expanded its portfolio, multiple new sites required energy connections. Managing these new connections involved navigating complex requirements, securing supply contracts, arranging MOP contracts, and coordinating meter installations with both the Meter Operator (MOP) and site project managers. The client sought a seamless, efficient process to ensure timely installations without unnecessary delays.

Solution

Brownlow Utilities took full responsibility for managing the new connection process, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition for the client. We secured a new power meter contract with the group supplier and arranged a MOP contract with Npower to facilitate the meter installation.

When initial timelines were adjusted, our team leveraged its strong relationships with the MOP to expedite the process, ensuring installation was completed ahead of standard service level agreements (SLAs). By coordinating all necessary paperwork and scheduling adjustments, we minimised disruption and ensured that the project stayed on track.

Benefits

  • Time Savings: TIP Group avoided the complexity of coordinating multiple third parties, allowing them to focus on core operations.
  • Accelerated Installation: Our expertise and strong industry relationships reduced the standard SLA from 10 working days to just 5, ensuring a faster and more efficient process.
  • Seamless Execution: Brownlow Utilities handled all contractual and logistical aspects, preventing potential delays that could have impacted site operations.
  • Operational Efficiency: The timely meter installation ensured that TIP Group could proceed with their site opening without disruptions.

By partnering with Brownlow Utilities, TIP Group benefitted from a streamlined, expert-led process that simplified energy connections, minimised delays, and optimised efficiency across their growing portfolio.

Our proactive approach and industry expertise ensured a seamless experience, reinforcing the value of a trusted energy partner.

“Brownlows assistance with this project helped us effectively co-ordinate ongoing ground works and new supply installation with our building contractors and national grid installation team. Their handling of the new install and contract management with the suppliers shows an understanding and a commitment to help support their customers needs” -Representative at Tip Group.
